NEEDED ITEMS:

  • Musical instruments, especially brass (horns, trumpets, coronets, trombones, etc.) – must be in good playable condition
  • Hospital bath blankets – you might contact the linen service at your local hospital to see if they have any they are discarding
  • School supplies – even partially used notebooks, binders, tablets, etc., they really need paper. Shirley recommends you don’t go out and buy this stuff new, just send what you might have extra leftover, from prior school years.
  • Clothing – should be in good condition, of quality you see at Goodwill stores or better. If you know a t-shirt printshop, they often have 2nds or flawed items they will give you. Any other summer wear is needed.
  • Household items: dishes (Melmac is great), cups, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, linens, bath towels, flannel sheets (will make into diapers)
  • Sports equipment – playground toys; balls, jump-ropes, frisbees, etc. Baseball and soccer are very popular. Uniforms, shorts, bats, balls, gloves, etc
